Psychiatric diseases affect millions of people today. Due to the recurrent and chronic nature of the diseases, the desired treatment success cannot be achieved. For this reason, SoCAT Lab conducts research to detect these disorders before they occur and to develop prevention treatments. In line with this goal, studies continue in high-risk groups. Alzheimer’s disease, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia are the diseases in focus. Similarly, research efforts continue on substances and other addictions related to disorders in the reward system, especially craving.
